VISOIU FAST IN SILVERSTONE

The GP3 Series teams met up on 11^th and 12^th April 2012 at Silverstone (GB) on the Grand Prix circuit for the final two pre-season test days. 26 drivers attended with Jenzer Motorsport fielding Robert Visoiu (ROM), Patric Niederhauser (CH) and, on the second day only, Maxim Zimin (RUS). As usual in England, conditions changed from dry to wet and back again repeatedly in what were quite low temperatures.

Once more our drivers made a very good impression and were to be found regularly towards the front of the timing lists. On the first day Robert finished 7^th and Patric was 11^th in the morning. Rain, which had threatened all along, finally started falling towards the end of the afternoon by which time Robert had again bagged 7th and Patric had moved up to 10^th place.

Conditions at the start of the second day were difficult, with the track still damp and slippery from overnight rainfall and temperatures that dipped towards freezing. Maxim got caught out by the tricky conditions and after just a handful of very fast laps parked his car in the gravel trap. Patric and Robert didn’t take as many risks and were 11^th and 14^th respectively by the end of the morning. The track dried out in the afternoon and the chase for best lap times started yet again, with Robert achieving an excellent 2^nd place, while Maxim was 11^th and Patric 16^th.

We are now looking forward to the start of the racing season. The first race will be held on 12^th/13^th May 2012 as part of the F1 Grand Prix Program at Barcelona (E).
