GP3 TESTS IN VALENCIA

In preparation for the Grand Prix of Europe, which will take place on 24^th June this year on the fast street circuit around the yacht harbour at Valencia (E), the GP3 teams met up for two official test days on Valencia’s permanent racetrack, the Circuito Ricardo Tormo.

Our drivers were Robert Visoiu (ROM), Patric Niederhauser (CH) and Samin Gómez (VEN), who came to get to know the GP3 race car. On the second day Gary Thompson (IRL) replaced Robert Visoiu, who couldn’t attend because he was sitting his exams. Temperatures were well above 30°C, and it proved tough for drivers and team alike. On the morning of day one the order was Patric 8^th, Robert 11^th and Samin 22^nd. In the afternoon Robert was 7^th, Patric was 13^th and Samin was 21^st. On day two in the morning Patric was 6^th, Gary 20^th and Samin 21^st, while in the afternoon Patric was 5^th, Gary 6^th and Samin 20^th.

The drivers carried out the engineers’ test program as planned and we are now looking forward to next weekend’s race with great anticipation.
