WILLIAMS AND HOGGARD TOP IN BARCELONA TESTS

The 10 teams of the FIA F3 Championship met on 5^th and 6^th October 2020 for two official post-season test days on the Catalunya Circuit near Barcelona (E). For Jenzer Motorsport, Calan Williams (AUS), who had already contested the season with us, as well as newcomers Filip Ugran (ROM) and Johnathan Hoggard (GB) were in action. Nice autumn weather accompanied the days.

On the first morning Calan managed to recommend himself with the 3^rd fastest time of the 30 drivers. Johnathan and Filip, who were behind the wheel in the powerful FIA F3 machine for the first time, reached positions 13 and 27, respectively. In the afternoon, some setting changes were tried out and traditional long runs were made, and our drivers also achieved very good results then. Calan did brilliantly as he only missed the fastest time by a tiny two thousandths of a second! Johnathan was 18^th and Filip was 28^th.

On the second morning, Johnathan immediately put himself in a very good light by posting the 5^th fastest time. Calan was 9^th and Filip reached 27^th position. In the afternoon they all went straight back to business, and Johnathan was able to show everything he had learned in the short time. He soon claimed the fastest time and was on the top of the results list, and that’s also where he finished the session. Calan had equally finished every session in the top ten, this time as 9^th. Filip made steady progress and in the end reached a good 19^th place.

On 27^th/28^th October there are another two official post-season test days on the program which will take place at Jerez de la Frontera.
