JENZER ROOKIES PROMISING IN FIA F3 TESTS

The 10 teams of the FIA F3 Championship met on 14 to 16 February 2023 for the first three official test days of the 2023 season at the Sakhir circuit in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Driving for Jenzer Motorsport were Nikita Bedrin, Taylor Barnard and Alejandro Garcia, our rookies, for whom this was their first outing in the FIA F3 Championship. Warm temperatures and changing winds made the test days challenging.

On the first morning, our drivers had to check all the functions of the powerful FIA F3 machines. After that, the competition really started. Highly motivated, Taylor achieved a wonderful 2^nd place, Nikita managed excellent 9^th and Alejandro the very good 16^th place in the 30 car strong field. The afternoon also went well, with Taylor holding 9^th place, Nikita 19^th and Alejandro 25^th. On test days, comparison is not easy as the drivers change to new tires at different times.

On the second morning, different settings were tried. Taylor was able to get into the top ten in 9^th place, Nikita was 18^th and Alejandro 27^th. Long runs were traditionally held in the afternoon. Taylor was now 15^th, with Nikita 16^th just behind him, and Alejandro in 20^th place. This was a very balanced and good result.

The schedule was changed from the original planning for the third day. There was now a four hour session which started at 09.00 in the morning. The qualifying simulation was on progam and the 30 drivers gave it their all. Taylor finished in 15^th position, Nikita in 17^th and Alejandro in 26^th. Today the wind was particularly strong and sometimes affected the driving.
